US stocks rose over the course of Thursday trading session as Wall Street indices ended the session higher.
🇺🇸 Nasdaq ended the day up by 236.93 points or 1.99% higher to 12,166.27. While 🇺🇸 Dow 30 closed higher and up by 383.19 points or 1.14% to 34,029.69 and 🇺🇸 S&P 500 added 54.27 points or 1.33% higher to 4,146.22.
Investors seem to take positive cue from the recent economic data 🇺🇸 📆 USD In the week ending 08 April, the Initial Unemployment Insurance Claims rose to 239K compared to previous figure 228K according to Department of Labor.
In the upcoming event, we may expect high volatility ahead of Retail Trade Turnover (1-mth) | Mar to be released at 8:30am on Friday (New York Time). Economists are expecting lower forecast compared to previous report.
Wall Street Top Gainers, Losers and Active Stocks
Top two gainers in the last trading session include Crispr Therapeutics AG (CRSP) as the stock surged 16.31% to 50.56 while Relay Therapeutics Inc (RLAY) added 13.8% to 18.22.
Losers include Infosys Ltd ADR (INFY), erasing -9.78% from its share price to 15.40 and Sarepta Therapeutics Inc (SRPT) shed -9.41% to 124.72.
Elsewhere, most active counters were Amazon.com Inc (AMZN) and Apple Inc (AAPL) and American Airlines Group (AAL) to name a few.
